Roofko ("we", "us", "our") operates the website roofko.me. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our solar calculator, installer directory, and related services.

2. Data We Collect

Calculator usage

When you use the solar calculator, we process your roof location (GPS coordinates), roof dimensions, slope, and orientation. We do not require an account to use the calculator.

Quote and financing requests

When you request a quote from an installer or financing info from a lender, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number and message. This data is shared with the installer or lender you selected.

Installer and lender accounts

Installers and lenders who register provide their email, company name, and optionally additional business details (phone, website, certifications, service areas). Payment information is processed by our payment provider (Dodo Payments) and is never stored on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To perform solar calculations based on your roof data
• To forward quote and financing requests to your selected installer or lender
• To manage installer and lender accounts and subscriptions
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, lead notifications, review requests)
• To improve our services and fix technical issues

4. Legal Basis (GDPR)

We process your data based on:

• Consent — when you submit a quote request or create an account
• Legitimate interest — for service improvement and security
• Contract — to fulfill installer subscriptions

5. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database and authentication (EU-hosted)
• Google Maps API — map display and geocoding
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Dodo Payments — subscription payment processing
• NASA & PVGIS — solar irradiance data (no personal data sent)
• Google AdSense — advertising; may collect data and use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your browsing activity

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (Supabase session cookies). Third-party services (Google Maps, Google Fonts) may set their own cookies.

Advertising cookies: If you accept advertising cookies via our consent banner, Google AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. You can change your cookie preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.

7. Data Retention

Calculator results are stored indefinitely for shareable links. Quote request data is retained for the duration of the installer's active subscription. Account data is deleted upon request.
